The Club
Hailsham is situated 9 miles North of Eastbourne, near the
Sussex Coast. The hockey club was founded in 1902, and is one
of the oldest club's in the county of
Sussex. Local historian records include photographs of
mixed hockey being played on the infamous Hailsham Recreation
ground back as early as 1925.
These days, the club plays the majority of it's hockey in
Eastbourne and Seaford. With the trend for atsraturf hockey,
Hailsham Town is currently unable to support the luxury of a
local facility, and so the home games are now not so
local.
