Juniors

The club attained the England Hockey and Sport England Clubmark accreditation during 2005. This is an accreditation showing the clubs commitment to Child Friendly Hockey.

Hailsham hockey club provides coaching for Juniors.

Currently held on a Wednesday night at Hailsham Community College all weather pitch, the sessions are run by EH qualified coaches and experienced player helpers.

Martin Headey is the administrator for the Junior section and Tony Hayes is the Head Coach. Both are EH qualified coaches.


Toni Bray (EH qualified), Alison Headey, Lucy Smith and Liz Ball complete the coaching staff, and are assisted by Junior helpers Dan Ivemy, and Ian Wilmshurst. Richard Burraston is our goal keeping coach.


The sessions are aimed to get juniors aged 6-16 involved in the game of hockey in a fun, safe friendly environment.


In the Hailsham primary schools, Unihoc is taught, and we aim to extend the childs interest in this sport through to the full game of field hockey.

Junior membership costs £10, and coaching sessions cost £2 a night.

Insurance for Juniors

The club has 3rd party Insurance. This does not cover injuries sustained to players.
Please take out insurance for your child if you feel it is required.

We take Child Welfare very seriously. If any Junior player has any concerns that Nikki our Welfare Officer may be able to help with then please contact her on the followin email findtheburrow@hotmail.com. Nikkis phone number is in the club handbook.
