HAILSHAM HOCKEY CLUB NEWSLETTER FEB 2001
END OF SEASON BUFFET AND AWARDS
This event will take place as follows:
On: Saturday 7th April
At: Hailsham Town Football Club
At: 7.30 for 8.00 p.m.
The cost will be as follows:
£5.00 per adult, £3.00 per junior (11-15 years), children 10 and under - free
Tickets are available from team captains, or from the secretary, Alison Headey.
Awards to be presented on the night include:
Brian-Davis Cup (Mixed) Young Player Awards
Chewter Cup Mens Player of the Year
Cooper Cup Mens Tankard (Highest Scorer)
Please make every effort to attend as this is our one social event of the year.
END OF SEASON CLUB GAME
We are aiming to arrange a club game, hopefully for the Saturday of the Buffet, or the next day. Watch this space!!
ANNUAL DRAW
This will take place at the End of Season Buffet on 7th April. Draw tickets will be issued by the team captains in the near future. Please make sure you sell your allocation of tickets, and more if possible, as this is the only means of fundraising the Club has. There will be a prize for the person selling the most tickets, and the more money we raise, the greater the chance that annual subscriptions and match fees stay low.
(Incidentally, while we are on the subject of subscriptions, please make every effort to pay yours if you have not done so yet!)
CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS
A sub-committee has been set up to discuss arrangements for the Club´s Centenary next year. Ideas so far revolve around a weekend of celebrations with several different types of team, and a formal dinner on the Saturday night. Any suggestions will be gratefully received and considered by the committee.
